A grand antique Georgian cluster ring from the early 1800s modelled in 18ct gold with seven sky-blue turquoise arranged in the shape of a forget-me-not on the face.
Turquoise is considered a stone of good fortune and has long been associated with the forget-me-not due to the stones matching sky-blue colouring. The flower was a popular motif in the 19th Century and symbolic of undying love and remembrance, making it a popular gift for lovers during long periods of separation.
The piece features exquisite patterning engraved around the entire band with decorative shoulder panels on each side detailed with scrolling motifs and forget-me-nots. It’s a wonderful piece of history and in excellent condition.
