A regal antique Victorian bangle from the late 19th Century adorned with five glorious oval cut amethysts with twinkling pastes dotted in between. The amethysts have an alluring deep purple hue and weigh between 2-5ct, bringing the total to approx. 16ct
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The open-work band is modelled in silver, gilded in 18ct yellow gold and held securely by a box clasp and safety chain at the side. It’s a magnificent piece and in excellent condition.
