A beautiful antique Art Nouveau pendant from the late 19th Century decorated with bright seed pearls and two deep purple amethysts, one oval the other pear cut (approx. 1.7 & 2ct).
Amethyst is the birthstone of February. It’s considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity and has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and deep purple colouring which has adorned regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
It has a fabulous, open-work design with scrolling foliate motifs and a flower on top. It will look fabulous hung from a gold chain and is fitted with a pin at the back so it can also be worn as a brooch.
