A gorgeous antique Victorian ring crowned with a striking cabochon amethyst weighing approx. 5ct. It has a deep, regal purple hue with an inner glow that shimmers magically beneath the surface of the stone, highlighting the stones natural fissures.
Amethyst is the birthstone for February. It’s considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity and has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and deep purple colouring which has adorned regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The stone contrasts beautifully against an 18ct yellow gold gallery and band, with coiled rope motifs on each shoulder. It’s very eye-catching, a perfect statement piece.
