A fabulous antique Victorian pendant from the late 19th Century consisting of four oval cut purple amethysts, two pink topaz, two blue topaz and a central blue old cut aquamarine. 

Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.

The piece has an ornate, open-work design with rope edge borders and gold beading, all crafted in 9ct gold. It’s all original and in excellent condition with a colourful assortment of gems at the front.
