An exquisite antique Etruscan revival brooch from the mid-Victorian era featuring an old cushion cut aqua chrysoberyl in the centre encircled by four seed pearls, golden leaves and intricate cannetille patterning around the border.
Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the late 1800s after ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome, beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same grand and elaborate fashion.
It’s modelled in 18ct gold and fitted with a pin at the back along with a secret locket, complete with window, ready to house a small photograph or other keepsakes.
It’s been beautifully preserved and is even accompanied by its original fitted box with blue leatherette exterior and burgundy velvet interior.
