A fabulous pair of antique Victorian drop earrings from the late 19th Century made in the Etruscan revival style and fashioned in a bright 15ct yellow gold.
The pair consists of two textured rings, linked to form an eternity symbol and are topped with an engraved, foliate panel and love knots, representing everlasting love that is unbreakable and forever entwined.
Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the late 1800s after ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome, beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same grand and elaborate fashion.
They’re a wonderful design, displaying exquisite, high-quality workmanship and have been beautifully preserved over the centuries.
