Antique Victorian French Long Chain Silver 18ct Gold Gilt

A fabulous antique French chain from the late 19th Century made up of long, twisted links fashioned in silver, gilded in 18ct yellow gold and held by a new claw clasp at the end with French hallmarks at each side.    

It’s a lovely design, very distinct and measures over 62 inches so it can be worn as one long chain or looped twice around the neck to create two festoons of gold.
