A colourful antique Harlequin bracelet from the late Victorian era adorned with an assortment of chunky, glass pastes, mimicking beautiful green, purple, blue, yellow, turquoise and white gemstones.
Harlequin jewellery is named after the colourful costumes of the 16th century comedy actors of the same name. The style was popular during the 19th Century and saw wonderful pieces of jewellery abundantly decorated in coloured gems.
The stones are set in hinged silver crown links that articulate beautifully together and are held by a secure box clasp at the end. It’s a delightful piece with a striking rainbow of coloured pastes.
