A beautiful antique Victorian solitaire ring from the late 19th Century crowned with a vivid green jadeite cabochon that has been polished to give it a smooth, glossy surface.

A stone of legend and mysticism, Jade has been prized throughout history for its striking colour and glossy surface. In East Asia it was named “The stone of Heaven” and was believed to bring wisdom, good fortune, and long life to those who possessed it.

It’s in excellent condition and the gallery is crafted in 15ct gold with rope edging around the stone and fabulous open-work shoulders forming flowers and leaves.
