A beautiful antique Victorian serpent ring from the mid-1800s depicting a coiled 18ct gold snake encrusted with six lustrous pearls upon the head between pink ruby eyes.

Serpent rings became increasingly popular in the Victorian era, after Prince Albert gifted the young queen Victoria with a serpent ring during their courtship. The snake came to symbolise an enduring love and friendship with its coiled shape representing eternity.

It’s remained in excellent condition and features exquisite detailing and fabulous gemstones that look wonderful wrapped around the finger.
