A striking antique Victorian ruby diamond checkerboard ring, made in Birmingham in 1888. The ring is fashioned in 18ct yellow gold and set with an alternating cluster of sparkling old mine cut diamonds and cherry-pink rubies, weighing between 0.06 – 0.08ct (approx. 0.36ct of each).
Ruby is the birthstone of July and has long been associated with the heart due to its fiery pink/ red colouring which is symbolic of passion. It’s said to bring good fortune in love and provide long-lasting happiness and vitality to any relationship.
This is a beautiful Victorian cluster ring, fully hallmarked and set with a gorgeous collection of precious gems on top that contrast and complement each other beautifully.
