A sweet pair of antique Victorian drop earrings from the mid 19th Century depicting two forget me nots with fourteen turquoise petals, ranging from blue to green.
Turquoise is considered a stone of good fortune and has long been associated with the forget me not due to the stones matching sky-blue colouring. The flower was a popular motif in the Victorian era and symbolic of undying love and remembrance, making it a popular gift between lovers during long periods of separation.
