A fabulous Art Deco paste rivière necklace, crafted in the popular "white on white" style of the 1920s. It features a continuous row of chunky emerald-cut white paste stones, expertly faceted to replicate the brilliance and clarity of large diamonds.

The stones are set in delicate open-back frames made from rare Platinon, an innovative white base-metal alloy, used for only a relatively short time during the interwar period as a quality, lower-cost alternative to platinum that also does not tarnish.

Preserved in excellent condition, the piece bears an authentic Platinon stamp near the clasp and measures 15 inches in length, so it sits elegantly at the neck as a choker, making it perfect for both everyday wear and special occasions.
