This grand vintage amethyst cluster ring is crafted in a muted 9ct gold and claw set with nine luxurious natural amethysts, weighing approx. 0.20ct each, 0.70ct in the centre. They exhibit a vivid deep-violet hue that contrasts beautifully against the muted yellow gold settings.
Amethyst’s regal purple-violet hue has been a favourite of kings and royalty throughout history and was said to provide clarity, protection, and wisdom to the wearer. Legend also links Saint Valentine to the stone, as he was said to have worn an amethyst ring carved with Cupid, making it the birthstone for February and a popular Valentine's gift as well.
This fabulous vintage amethyst cluster ring dates to the mid-20th century and has remained in excellent condition. A regal statement piece with a magnificent collection of natural amethysts that look striking crowned atop the finger.
