A striking vintage jade ring made in London in 1972. It showcases a lovely pale-green jade stone on top hand carved with beautiful, high-relief flower petals in a circling design.
A stone of legend and mysticism, Jade has been prized throughout history for its striking colour and glossy surface. In East Asia it was named “The stone of Heaven” and was believed to bring wisdom, good fortune, and long life to those who possessed it.
The stone is bezel set in a raised 9ct gold mount with rope edging and split shoulders leading into the band. It’s a fabulous statement ring and complete with London hallmarks and the maker’s mark within the band.
