A whimsical vintage gate bracelet from the 1970s consisting of chunky curb links and seventeen three-dimensional charms all fashioned in sterling silver and gilded in 18ct yellow gold.
The charms include the Concorde, a canon, a spiky hedgehog, a Torah scroll with Hebrew letters within, a flower ring, a mushroom house with a tiny man inside, a bullet, a Carafe, a skull with chattering mouth, a castle on a hill, a hat with a small elf hiding underneath, a classic car, a clown and scout leader with articulated legs, a radio tower and a flower with a black centre engraved with a Buddha on each side.
The piece is held securely around the wrist by a safety chain and heart padlock clasp complete with London hallmarks at the back that date to 1977. It’s a fantastic collector’s piece with a delightful collection of charms.
